An Act to exempt family members of murder victims from jury service.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 4 of chapter 234A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following:-

9. Such person is the direct family member of a murder victim. A direct family member shall mean a spouse, child, parent, sibling, grandparent or any spouse of such child, parent, sibling or grandparent.
