An Act regarding threats to public defenders and other court personnel.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 269, section 14, §(b), of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 official edition, is hereby amended by adding the following section:
(3) to a public employee, public defender, probation officer or any member of the court system, shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for not more than two years or by a fine of not more than two thousand dollars and imprisonment in jail for not more than one year.
