An Act relative to victim access to sex offender information.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 178I of chapter 6, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “offender”, in line 15, the following words: -- ; provided, however, that prior to the final classification by the board the victim of said sex offender, or the parent/guardian of the victim, may obtain the following information regarding the sex offender: (1) the home address and any secondary address,  (2) the work address, (3) a photograph of the sex offender, if available, and (4) the name and address of the institution of higher learning where the sex offender works or is enrolled as a student.
