An Act granting creditable service to Craig Simpson.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Plymouth county retirement board shall grant Craig Simpson, an employee of the police department of the town of Norwell, with creditable service for the service he rendered for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority from October 18, 2010 to July 31, 2016 for the purpose of determining his superannuation retirement allowance pursuant to paragraph (a) of subdivision (2) of section 5 of chapter 32 of the General Laws. Before the date that any retirement allowance becomes effective in the case of Craig Simpson, he shall pay into the annuity savings fund of the Plymouth county retirement system, in 1 sum or installments, upon such terms and conditions as the Plymouth county retirement system may prescribe, an amount equal to the accumulated regular deductions withdrawn by him from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority retirement system, together with buyback interest, as defined in section 1 of said chapter 32.
