Chapter 131 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following new section:-
Section 119. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, no person, except as provided in sections four, thirty-seven, and thirty-eight, shall erect, set, use, locate, repair, tend, bait or maintain any trap, net or snare for the purpose of taking or killing any bird or mammal within three hundred feet from a public roadway, pathway or trail.
Any trap, net or snare may not be erected, used, tended, baited or in any other way maintained for a period exceeding seven consecutive days, except as provided in said sections four, thirty-seven, and thirty-eight.
