An Act relative to senior property tax exemptions.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1 Section 5 of chapter 59 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof, the following new subsection:-
Fifty-EightUpon the acceptance of this subsection by a city or town, a resident of the commonwealth residing is said city or town who reaches the age of 75 shall be exempt from real property taxes on that percentage of said funds which are devoted to local education purposes.
