An Act designating a certain intersection in the town of Pembroke as the Francis P. Hayes, Jr. Memorial Square.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The intersection of Rte. 139 and Old Oak St., in the town of Pembroke shall be designated and known as the Francis P. Hayes, Jr. Memorial Square, in memory of Francis P. Hayes, Jr. who served his country in the U.S Army, served on the town Veteran’s Council, and was an active civic leader in town government and at town meetings. He was a strong advocate for Veterans and Trustee of the Veteran’s Memorial Park in Marshfield. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain a suitable marker bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
