An Act encouraging veteran homeownership.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. To provide for a program to incentivize home ownership by veterans, the following accommodations are hereby made available to veterans, as defined in Section 1 of Chapter 115 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition.

SECTION 2: Section 38 of Chapter 262 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following after the words "surcharge under section 8 of Chapter 44B":-

"No fees defined in this section or surcharges defined under Section 8 of Chapter 44B shall be assessed to veterans, as defined in Section 1 of Chapter 115 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition."
