SECTION 1. Chapter 151A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following new section:-

Section 75. For the purposes of this section, the term “development” shall mean a residential dwelling in excess of 10 units of retail, commercial, or industrial development greater than 5,000 square feet. 

For any development that is in excess of $750,000, the employer shall post in a conspicuous location at the jobsite, a roster of employees and independent contractors employed onsite, and a certificate of compliance issued by the department showing that it is current in all its obligations relating to contributions, payments in lieu of contributions, and the employer medical assistance contribution established in section 189 of chapter 149, for inspection by the local building department or inspectional services of a city or town, or by inspectors designated by the attorney general.

SECTION 2. Chapter 152 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following new section:-

Section 87. For the purposes of this section, the term “development” shall mean a residential dwelling in excess of 10 units of retail, commercial, or industrial development greater than 5,000 square feet. 

For any development that is in excess of $750,000, the employer shall post in a conspicuous location at the jobsite, a roster of employees and independent contractors employed onsite, and a certificate of compliance issued by the department showing that it is current in all its obligations relating to contributions and proof of coverage verification, for inspection by the local building department or inspectional services of a city or town, or by inspectors designated by the attorney general.
