An Act encouraging municipal recycling and composting.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 8H of Chapter 40 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking in line 1 the word “may” and inserting in place thereof the following word:- shall

SECTION 2. Said section 8H of said chapter 40 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby further amended in lines 1-2 by striking the words “by approval of the local legislative body”

SECTION 3. Said section 8H of said chapter 40 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby further amended in line 7 by striking the word “may” and inserting in place thereof the following word:- shall

SECTION 4. Said section 8H of said chapter 40 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby further amended in lines 9-10 by striking the words “designated by the local legislative body”
