An Act relative to students of chiropractic.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1:  Chapter 112 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting, after section 91, the following new section:-

Section 91A: Chiropractic students; limited practice of chiropractic under supervision

A student of chiropractic, who has (1) completed all academic and clinical class requirements for the degree of doctor of chiropractic a legally chartered chiropractic school, and (2) passed all four levels of the National Chiropractic Board Examinations, may practice chiropractic, under the direct supervision of a licensed chiropractor.  The supervising chiropractor shall be a registered chiropractor in the commonwealth and a duly appointed chiropractor of record in the duly licensed chiropractic facility, to which the student may be assigned. The student shall practice under the license of the supervising chiropractor and shall not be eligible to bill as a credentialed clinician.  The board may, in its discretion from time to time, designate other facilities or locations in which said student may practice chiropractic under the conditions described above.
