An Act relative to police pursuits in the Commonwealth.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 25 of Chapter 90 of the General Laws as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition by adding to the end of said section 25 the following:-
Any person who, while operating or in charge of a motor vehicle, when being pursued by a police officer in an official police vehicle displaying lights and siren, shall refuse or neglect to stop, shall be punished by a fine of not less than one thousand dollars nor more than ten thousand dollars and imprisonment in State Prison for not less than two and one-half years nor more than five years, or both such fine and imprisonment.
