An Act relative to firefighters cessation program.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 101A of Chapter 41 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding, in line 7, after the word "section" the following:-"prior to the termination of a Firefighter or Police Officer for violating this section , said employee shall be offered an opportunity to enter a smoking cessation program. Subsequent violation may be cause for dismissal.
