SECTION 1. Section 100G of Chapter 41 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the words “two thousand” and inserting in place thereof the following:- “$7,500”
SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the recipients of a death benefit under Section 100A of Chapter 32 shall also receive a reasonable amount, not to exceed $7,5000, for funeral and burial expenses. The state board of retirement shall adopt regulations to administer said benefit.
