An Act relative to exempting farmers' markets from certain property taxes.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 2B of chapter 59 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 18, after the words “and laws”, the following:- "; provided further, that, subject to section 4 of chapter 4, for the purposes of this section, a farmers’ market, as defined by the Massachusetts department of agricultural resources, shall be considered a public purpose."
