An Act regarding net metering.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1. Section 139 of Chapter 164 as amended by section 5 of chapter 75 of the acts of 2016 is hereby amended by striking the number "7' and inserting in place thereof the following:-"8.75"
Section 2. Section 139 of Chapter 164 as amended by section 6 of chapter 75 of the acts of 2016 is hereby amended by striking the number "8" and inserting in place thereof the following:-"10"
Section 3. Section 139 of Chapter 164 as appearing in the 2014 official edition is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following new paragraph:-"The secretary of energy and environmental affairs shall every two years review and recommend an increase in the aggregate net metering capacity of facilities that are not of a municipality or other governmental entity and facilities of a municipality or other governmental entity. Said review and recommendation for an increase shall be submitted to the clerks of the house and senate, the joint Committee on telecommunications, utilities and energy, and the house and senate committees on ways and means."
