An Act officially recognizing the celebration of Chinese New Year in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 7 of chapter 4 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding after clause 18 the following paragraph: -
“Legal holiday” shall also include the celebration of Chinese New Year, which falls on the first day of the new full moon occurring between the dates of January 21 and February 20.
