An Act waiving certain state fees for active duty members of the Massachusetts National Guard.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Paragraph (2) of section 33 of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence: - The registrar shall grant 1 exemption every two years for the fee collected pursuant to this paragraph to any active member of the Massachusetts National Guard; provided, however, the exemption shall not be granted if any other person residing within the member’s household previously received the exemption.

SECTION 2. Section 11 of chapter 131 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 37, the word “seventy” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- 70 or any active member of the Massachusetts National Guard.

SECTION 3. Section 2D of chapter 132A of the General Laws , as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 18, the words “two of chapter ninety” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- 2 of chapter 90 or an active member of the Massachusetts National Guard.
