An Act authorizing the town of Plymouth to exchange a parcel of land held for conservation purposes for a parcel of land in the town of Plymouth.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary and Article 97 of the amendments to the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the town of Plymouth is hereby authorized to transfer from the conservation commission to the board of selectmen for the purpose of conveyance the care, custody, management and control of a portion of a parcel of land located on the westerly side of Rocky Pond Road,  shown as Lot 4C on Assessors Map 91, which was acquired by the town for  conservation purposes, by deed dated  June 5, 2000, recorded with the Plymouth Registry of Deeds in Book 18639, Page 141, which portion is  shown as  Parcel B on a plan entitled: “Plan of Land in Plymouth, Massachusetts Prepared for Roy F. Jr. & Margaret W. Geiger #107 Rocky Pond Road Scale: 1” = 20’ April 21, 2017 Flaherty & Stefani, Inc. 67 Samoset Street Plymouth, MA 02360 (508)-747-2425”, and further to authorize the town of Plymouth, acting by and through its board of selectmen, to convey said property and to accept in consideration therefor a portion of a parcel of land located on the westerly side of Rocky Pond Road, shown as Lot 6-22 on Assessors Map 91, which was acquired by Roy F. Geiger, Jr. and Margaret W. Geiger, by deed dated  August 22, 1972, recorded with the Plymouth Registry of Deeds in Book 3821, Page 784, which portion is  shown as Parcel A on said plan, and upon such other terms and conditions as the Board of Selectmen may deem appropriate.

Section 2. This transaction is undertaken pursuant to the provisions of General Laws Chapter 30B.

Section 3. This act shall take effect upon passage.
