An Act relative to the town charter of Wareham.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Subsection (c) of section 2-4 of article 2 of the charter of the town of Wareham, which is on file in the office of the archivist of the commonwealth, as provided in section 12 of chapter 43B of the General Laws, is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following 2 sentences:- The subjects submitted to the board of selectmen shall be placed on the warrant for the spring or fall town meeting by a majority vote of the board of selectmen pursuant to section 10 of chapter 39 of General Laws; provided, however, that a subject submitted pursuant to clause (2) or clause (3) of subsection (b) shall be placed on the warrant for the spring or fall town meeting automatically. The subjects to be placed on the warrant for the spring or fall town meeting shall be placed on the warrant not later than 45 days before the date fixed by law on which the meeting is scheduled to convene.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
