An Act relative to the powers and duties of a regional school district.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 16 of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following subsection:-

(s) A regional school district may serve as the fiscal agent when the regional district and one or more towns or superintendency union have hired the same superintendent and central office staff; provided that the regional district shall enter into a written agreement with the school committee or committees concerning the regional district billing the school committee or committees for services and payment of personnel.
