An Act regarding home care cost sharing.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 4A of Chapter 19A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking the first sentence of the first paragraph and inserting in place thereof, the following sentence:

“If a consumer who is otherwise eligible for home care services has income which is within the range established in the home care cost sharing schedule as authorized by the executive office of elder affairs, the consumer shall make a co-payment in accordance with the schedule set forth in the financial eligibility guidelines in effect during the consumer’s initial determination or redetermination of financial eligibility.”
