An Act relative to underground storage tank remediation.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1: Subsection (d) of section 9 of Chapter 21J of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 25 and 29, the words “property damage,”.

SECTION 2: Section 5 of chapter 21O of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended in line 15 by inserting after the words “twenty-one E;” the following:-

Provided, further, that such corrective action may include financial reimbursement to the owners of surrounding property who have sustained property damage due to negligent release.
