An Act relative to municipal water resources.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Massachusetts department of environmental protection shall assess its authority to address impacts of a municipal withdrawal of water on bordering or nearby municipal surface water source affected by the withdrawal pursuant to a permit granted under chapter 21G, and report its finding to the clerks of the house and senate by December 31, 2017.
