An Act relative to the preservation of Fowl Meadow.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, no development shall be permitted within 1000 feet of the portion of the Town of Milton and the Town of Canton, referred to as Fowl Meadow, or any land abutting Fowl Meadow, which development shall negatively impact this unique area encompassing upland open meadows, pristine wetlands and mature woods. Negative impact shall be determined to be a change of grade, re-routing or changing water flow, draining wetlands or altering the topography such that rare and/or endangered species shall not have the ability to inhabit two or more of the portions of the unique areas named herein.
