An Act relative to vacated foreclosed residential property.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1: Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, a creditor shall place residential properties back on the market for sale or lease within one calendar year of foreclosure. Failure to place such residential properties back on the market for sale or lease within one calendar year of foreclosure shall result in forfeiture of property to the town or city in which the residential property is located.
