An Act relative to the governance of the Health Policy Commission.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Subsection (b) of section 2 of chapter 6D of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 9, the figure “11” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:-

SECTION 2. Said subsection (b) of section 2 of chapter 6D of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby further amended, in line 11, by striking out the figure “3” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:-

SECTION 3. Said subsection (b) of section 2 of chapter 6D of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby further amended, in line 13, by striking out the figure “3” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:-

“4”

SECTION 3. Said subsection (b) of section 2 of chapter 6D of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby further amended, in line 34, by striking out the word “years.” and inserting in place thereof the following text:-

“years. The fourth person appointed by the governor shall be a registered nurse licensed to practice in Massachusetts and shall be initially appointed for a term of 5 years.”

SECTION 4. Said subsection (b) of section 2 of chapter 6D of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby further amended, in line 38, by striking out the word “years.” and inserting in place thereof the following text:-

“years; 1 shall have an advanced degree in public health and expertise in implementing strategies to eliminate health care disparities and shall be initially appointed for a term of 1 year;”
