An Act relative to the crime of incest.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 63 of chapter 277 is hereby amended, in line 28, by striking out the figure “17”.

SECTION 2. Section 63 of chapter 277 is hereby amended by inserting after the second paragraph the following paragraph:-

“Notwithstanding the first paragraph, if a victim of a crime set forth in section 17 of chapter 272 is under the age of 16 at the time the crime is committed, the period of limitation for prosecution shall not commence until the victim has reached the age of 18 or the violation is reported to a law enforcement agency, whichever occurs earlier.”
