An Act relative to impersonating a public officer.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 33 of chapter 268 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 3, after the word “police officer,” the following words:- “fire fighter, EMS first responder,”.

SECTION 2. Said section 33 of chapter 268, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 10-11, the words “such or requires a person to aid or assist him in a matter pertaining to the duty of such officer,” and inserting in place thereof the following:- “such, requires a person to aid or assist him in a matter pertaining to the duty of such officer, or knowingly and intentionally obtains money, property or another tangible benefit through such fraudulent representation,”
