An Act relative to association health plans.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, all multiple employer welfare arrangements, as defined in chapter 176J of the general laws, which includes association health plans, shall be subject to the commonwealth’s minimum credible coverage standards and department of insurance review and approval requirements.

The commissioner, as defined in said chapter 176J, shall promulgate all regulations necessary to implement this section.
