An Act to reduce administrative burdens for healthcare providers.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
It shall hereby be enacted that, notwithstanding laws to the contrary, no health care organization or delivery system, including but not limited to health care networks, accountable care organizations, and/or health insurers, establish as a condition of a contract with a health care provider that said provider be required to create a separate legal entity and/or separate tax identification number; nor shall it be legal for a health care entity as described above to penalize health care providers who elect not to create a separate legal entity and/or separate tax identification number.
