An Act relative to MassHealth benefits for single individuals.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 9 of chapter 118E of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-
Notwithstanding an general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary a single person, widow or widower may have no more than $100,000 in monetary assets be eligible for MassHealth assistance pursuant to this section. A single person, widow or widower may also have home ownership rights and be eligible for MassHealth assistance pursuant to this section.
