An Act to address the degree gap and reduce student debt.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 15A of the general laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding a new section 15H, as follows:
The commonwealth, subject to appropriation, shall provide to all Massachusetts high school graduates who have maintained the high school grade point average to be determined by the board of higher education with two years of community college, free of tuition and fees.
