An Act preventing a public housing tenant from using the premises for smoking.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 19 of chapter 139 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “housing”, in line 20, the following words:– uses such premises or any part thereof for smoking, as used in this section, the term smoking shall mean the lighting of a cigar, cigarette, pipe or other tobacco or marijuana product or possessing a lighted cigar, cigarette, pipe or other tobacco or non-tobacco product designed to be combusted and inhaled or.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect on January 1, 2020.
