An Act relative to the use of telephones in places of detention.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Section 33A of Chapter 276 of the Massachusetts General Laws, as appearing in the 1998 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the phrase, “…the services of an attorney.”, the following sentence:-“The accused shall also be afforded the opportunity to place a 2nd call to make arrangements for the care of a dependent person or pet.”
