An Act relative to DCF criminal background checks.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 7 of chapter 18B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:-
(p) The commissioner shall require social workers employed by the department and any employee who has unsupervised contact with children to complete a criminal offender record information investigation every 3 years.
Nothing in this section shall be construed to interfere with or impede any collective bargaining agreement in effect on the effective date of this act.
