An Act relative to supplemental services provided by employee organizations.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Chapter 150E of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 5 the following section: -

Section 5A.  Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the laws of the commonwealth shall not be construed to prohibit an Employee Organization from providing only to its members legal, economic or job-related services or benefits outside of the collective bargaining agreement, including, but not limited to, dental and vision insurance products.
