An Act establishing a liberty bell feasibility study.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  The bureau of the state house, in consultation with the Massachusetts art commission, Massachusetts historical commission, and George A. Warren of Whitinsville, shall study the feasibility of relocating the Massachusetts liberty bell replica #8 to a more accessible location to the general public in the interior of the state house and shall submit a final report of its findings and recommendations with the clerks of the house and senate not later than December 31, 2020.

SECTION 2.  There is hereby established and set up on the books of the commonwealth a separate fund to be known as the Massachusetts Liberty Bell Replica Fund, hereinafter referred to as the Liberty Bell Fund, to which shall be credited any appropriations, bond proceeds or other monies authorized by the general court and specifically designated to be credited to that fund, and any additional funds designated by the corporation for deposit into the Liberty Bell Fund, including any pension funds, federal grants or loans, or private donations made available for deposit into the fund. The executive office for administration and finance shall hold the Liberty Bell Fund in an account separate and apart from all other accounts. Amounts credited to the Liberty Bell Fund shall be used by the bureau of the state house for purposes set forth by Section 1 of this act.
