An Act to ensure adequate handicapped parking.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 22A of chapter 40 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the second sentence of the second paragraph and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:-

Parking spaces designated as restricted under this paragraph shall be no less than five percent of the parking spaces regulated by a city or town on ways within its control and shall be identified by the use of above-grade signs with white lettering against a blue background and shall bear the words “Handicapped Parking: Special Plate Required.
