An Act relative to dental licensing exams.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 47 of Chapter 112 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting at the end of said section the following sentence:- “The examination shall not require the performance of any procedure upon a live patient.”

Not later than July 1, 2021, the board shall approve an examination that does not require the performance of any procedure upon a live patient. Until such time, the board shall continue to approve the current examination including the performance of an irreversible procedure upon a live patient.
