An Act relative to prescription monitoring program enforcement regulations.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 94C of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after section 24A, subsection (l) the following paragraph:-
(m) The Board of Registration in Medicine shall promulgate regulations relative to participation in the prescription monitoring program required under this section and enforcement through its disciplinary unit. Such regulations shall make provisions to reprimand, censure, impose fines, require the performance of public service in a manner and at a time and place to be determined by the board, require a course of education or training, or otherwise discipline a physician who fails to comply with the requirements of this section.
