An Act relative to implementing needle exchange programs.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The first sentence of section 215 of chapter 111 of the General Laws, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "health” the following words:- “and any public or private entity”
SECTION 2. Section 215 of chapter 111, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the first paragraph the following:- “; provided however that the board of health in the hosting city or town shall meet the requirements of section 20 of chapter 30A of the General Laws; and further that the agenda item posted to notify of an approval vote shall also include the specific address of the proposed needle exchange program.”
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
