An Act relative to previously licensed gun owners.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Paragraph (1) of Section 129B of Chapter 140 is hereby amended by inserting a new subparagraph:-
(xii) Any person being a resident of the Commonwealth that lawfully held a firearm identification card prior to the enactment of chapter 180 of the acts of 1998 shall be entitled to apply for and receive a renewal of said card provided the person has not committed a prohibitive act since the enactment of chapter 180 of the acts of 1998.
Paragraph (d) of section 131 of chapter 140 is hereby amended by inserting a new subparagraph:-
(xi) Any person being a resident of the Commonwealth that lawfully held a license to carry firearms prior to the enactment of chapter 180 of the acts of 1998 shall be entitled to apply for and receive a renewal of said license provided the person has not committed a prohibitive act since the enactment of chapter 180 of the acts of 1998.
