An Act relative to excise tax repayments.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 2A of Chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding to the end, the following paragraph:-
Municipalities may adopt installment repayment plans for excise tax. If a municipality adopts such an installment plan, the municipality shall transmit to the registrar, in such form as approved by the registrar, the name and address of any person enrolled in an installment plan forthwith. The payment plan shall serve as a legal notice to the registrar that the matter has been disposed of in accordance of the law.
