An Act relative to property tax relief for veterans.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 5 of chapter 59 of the General Laws, as amended by Chapter 218 of the Acts of 2018, is hereby amended by inserting after clause Twenty-second F the following clause:-

Twenty-second I. Notwithstanding any provision of general or special law to the contrary, an abatement granted pursuant to clauses twenty-second through twenty-second H inclusive may be increased annually at the discretion of a city or town by an amount not to exceed the increase in the cost of living as determined by the Consumer Price Index for such year. This clause shall take effect in a city or town upon its acceptance by such city or town.
