An Act making senior citizen property tax relief more equitable.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Paragraph (3)(ii) of subsection (k) of Section 6 of Chapter 62 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking “$600,000” and inserting in place thereof the following:-
the median assessed value for a single-family home of the municipality for the preceding calendar year, as calculated by the department of revenue.
