An Act relative to promoting small business competitiveness.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 64H, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by in section 2 by adding the following subsection:-
(yy): “A single item at retail sales which totals one thousand dollars or greater shall have an excise assessed at 3.00 per cent of the receipt from all such sales of such property or services except as otherwise provided in this chapter.
