Comerford and others relative to the promulgation of State Building Code regulations to allow for gender neutral bathrooms.  State Administration and Regulatory Oversight.

An Act establishing gender neutral bathrooms.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Chapter 142 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting  after Section 13 the following section:-

Section 13a. The examiners shall promulgate regulations to allow gender neutral bathrooms to be designed and installed in any use group defined by the 780 CMR Massachusetts state building code regardless of whether the work being performed is new construction or repair, renovation or alteration work.
