An Act relative to energy efficiency.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1: Section 21 of Chapter 25 of the Massachusetts General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after subsection (e) the following subsection:-

(f) Effective January 1, 2022, any monies collected for direct consumer benefits, including incentives, shall not be used to fund the purchase or installation of gas or oil-fired space heating equipment, except for electric and gas energy efficiency funds allocated for low income residential customers.
