An Act relative to claiming charitable raffle prizes.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 7A of chapter 271 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-

An organization , society, church or club sponsoring and conducting a raffle pursuant to this section shall retain unclaimed prizes or prize money valued at or exceeding $600 for a period of 1 year after the drawing in which the prize or prize money was won, and shall provide public notice of the winning ticket for said period of 1 year.
